Animal shapeshifting

For my entire life, I've wanted nothing more than to become a bear. I dont care if its permanent or not, I just want to be a bear. Does anyone here actually know how to do this?

You cant shift physically in this time and space but you can meditate and dig into why you feel this fondness and this association and comfort. If your spirit remembers a fondness it will long for it until you resolve the story ans make it conscious for yourself.
Why a bear? Why not another being? Why not a person or an individual with a name? Where does your familiarity come from and how was it born? The feeling you have in heart and mind fits a particular story. When you find that story or anything similar to it it will ring.

I've always felt like I was supposed to be a bear. Like my body is human, but my spirit is a bear.

That's just a feeling, but it's part of a larger story. I've once had a life where I was a different immaterial being. That was a nice life with fond memories. But I don't long for that life. There are animal spirits that have intelligence and a different form. If you feel that you lack that energy and cannot call it towards you by day then something is amiss. You should feel right in our human body, using your spiritual body as an overlay. If your spirit is in good health and not snared or otherwise subdued you wouldn't feel out of place. Your life here would just be one of many and not necessarily emburdened by the physical form here.

Is it possible that this life could be a mistake and I was truly meant to be a bear? I've always suffered with not having the "right form", and nothing I have ever done has stopped it

            >Is it possible that this life could be a mistake and I was truly meant to be a bear?
That's impossible to say without you bringing into conscious awareness why you have this fondness and where that life ended. I had fondness for that wonderful spirit I lived with. There was also something terrible that happened and I lost another spirit to some foe. I've also seen and felt lots of abuse and misleading bs that some spirits were showered with. That included young spirits having their identity and body used. It stands to reason that any tampering with that ethereal body would either manifest as inability or difficulties or unhappiness in the here and now. But I've also felt the connectedness go up and down by the week, implying that some smothering presence can limit and deform your sense of self.

Without getting too deep in rabbit holes that you might not resonate with (as these are only personal observations, which should not lead to you polluting your beliefs without first-hand recognition or experience!).
            >I've always suffered with not having the "right form", and nothing I have ever done has stopped it
The truth is that you can be happy as a human too. You can do all things a bear with human intelligence could do. So in what sense are you unable to find satisfaction in life? Quite often the form isn't the problem at all. Even if that spirit companion of mine had a different form and an annoying tail, it was their personality and cheeriness that I vibed with. The chances are high that your focus on the form is like a first step in the direction of something you're missing, because you can't make sense of the rest yet.

I'm very happy as a human, but theres some kind of voice in the back of my head that is telling me that I was meant to be a bear. I'm happy as a human, but I'd feel way happier in the "correct form" if you get what I'm saying.

For me, it really is about the form. I've had dreams where I had my claws and it felt amazing.

I've wondered if there was some dual soul stuff with me, but from everything I've learned it's just me, and I'm a bear. It's hard to explain hope you understand

            >For me, it really is about the form. I've had dreams where I had my claws and it felt amazing.
Yeah so, this might be a little misleading. Even in such immersive dreams, it's not the form that is giving you that sense of amazement. It is a quality of the environment itself. Spirits have environments where they feel most at home and environments where they feel out of touch. During those dreams you are vibing in your familiar space. When you are awake you're not necessarily in the same environment. Imagine that when you wake up a part of you remains in that other space. When that part cannot relay itself or awareness is removed from that space you end up feeling murky.

It's -inherently- not about the form, but your connectedness to that space. If all is well you should feel the same sensation of the other body even when you are awake, like they run in parallel. Consider also your degree of lucidity in such dreams. Sometimes your unconscious just follows and generates the rest of the dream from a seed of thought that's planted when your dream starts. If you are in the right, free spaces, you should have almost 0 difference between your waking consciousness and thought process and your nightly one. If that is not the case there is still inner work to work through.
            >It's hard to explain hope you understand
I can somewhat relate to it. I felt most immersive when I had that other body as well, but I've also worked towards feeling the same ease and development regardless of the form.
            >I've wondered if there was some dual soul stuff with me
The value of the soul becomes apparent. Two souls are two wills and individuals. If you had two wills you would notice it very quickly, because one can't rule the other, since both are sovereign. But the seat of your consciousness can breathe life into various spiritual forms. Those lives live in parallel. Your human mind can only become aware of the others in steps.

Your response was very interesting, I should go deep in the woods more. That's where I feel most like myself

            >I should go deep in the woods more. That's where I feel most like myself
things like that help, building qualities and experiences are part of it. Sometimes more than one spirit dwells within your body and you can either choose to help them achieve some noteworthy experiences (you feel relief and sensations or more psychic freedom) or transform them if they are suffering or maladaptive (things can be bleak or rough). Sometimes you can identify strongly with such a spirit. With practice you can also distance yourself from it and sit in the space of the observer. Immersion and distance.

What kind of experiences shaped your character most? How would you put yourself in situations that shape your character the right way?

Go camping in bear country. Bring lots of unsealed smelly food like cheese, bacon or salami and keep it near your tent, or better still inside your tent. After a small while you’ll be very much at one with a bear.

Hey, I’m the OP of the wolf/druid thread.

Try explore spiritual and astral shifting first, learn to dreamwalk and explore that realm as a bear. I’m happy to help with this.

I know magick for the physical is out there, but I really don’t think anyone that has the truth or full methods will share it. I also think it either involves years of work, or killing.
Your best bet at a quick method is the berserker ritual.

I had a "dream" once where I transformed into a snake. I think you should probably seek a heavenly life (or a life conducive to a heavenly rebirth). I've heard that there are people who are reborn in heavenly realms who can enjoy the kind of form they want to at will.
